Hydro Power

WK Power is a renewable power project developer and investor with a focus on hydro power projects in east Africa. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of WK Holdings and is based in Mauritius.

Overview

WK Power aims to invest in early-stage developments with equity and expertise to bring bankable projects to financial close. We have experience in all stages of the project Lifecycle, including development, construction, commissioning, and operations.

To date WK Power has successful commissioned two small hydro power projects in Uganda with an installed capacity of 11 MW. These two projects have generated more than 165GWh of clean energy since their commissioning in 2019.

WK Power is currently busy with the development of projects in Mozambique, Kenya, Burundi and South Africa.
